Hey all, So I'm 26, and go to school full-time, and work full-time ( some weeks part-time). Anyways in of the classes there is at least one girl that I'm kind of interested in. So I'll chat with that person in class for a while, and get their number and ask if they want to out to which they always say yes. So I'll text them usually the next day, or two days later and if they want to do anything. However, very very few of them ever actually follow through with making plans to do something. For example this happened last semester. This one girl we talked for about two weeks in class about random stuff, school, where did she move from etc etc. So I ask for her phone number, and she gave it to me, and said maybe we can do something next weekend. So two days later we are texting, and she tells me she has a b/f. I was surprised that she would give me her number when she has a b/f. I'm not asking them to come to my place or me to go their place. I'm talking about things like mini-golf, ice cream, out to eat, etc etc. I don't understand why girls give their phone number to a guy if they have no intention of ever actually going out and doing something with that guy. I would be % fine if they told me up front they are interested and didn't give me their number. I'm not looking for a super serious relationship, but if it turns into that I wouldn't be opposed to it. I'm mainly looking for friends, and dating right now. A friend of mine suggested rather than text them a day or two later to them and ask them to do something. What is your opinion on that? Do girls typiy give their number to a guy that ask just so they don't seem like they are a bitch? Also I'm not the hottest guy on the planet, but I'm not overweight, I dress decent enough ( usually wear khaki pants, and a collared shirt) I don't have any tattoos, or body piercings.
